Free PC to phone calling over the internet, finally! Kind of…

VOIP craziness

It seems the VOIP wars are beginning to get exciting again, with Skype, Gizmo and JAJAH all announcing varying offers for free computer to phone (landline and mobile) calling through their services. We’ll start with Skype recently announcing they will be offering free calls to landlines and mobile phones within the US and Canada from Skype. Then we had JAJAH offering free calls between registered JAJAH users, by simply calling the registered number of another JAJAH user. Now, we get Gizmo rolling out with free calls to mobile and/or landlines in over 60 countries. Is this truly the beginning of a price war or will Skype roll over everyone with their large hardware support?
