David Hasselhoff’s new video makes my toes curl

David Hasselhoff !

But yet I can’t stop watching it! There’s just something about that man, be it his uncomfortable gyrations or his snarky facial expressions, that just draws me (and millions of German housewives) in and doesn’t let me go. In this video, part of Hoff’s new promotional campaign by Sony BMG Australia (posted to Google Video and YouTube by Sony BMG), you can see the Hoff cashing in on his past shows, from driving K.I.T.T to standing in front of a green-screen displaying the Baywatch beach. The song is actually nothing special (certainly not up to par with “Night rocker” - “I am the night rocker I wanna rock you all night long I am the night rocker I wanna love you in a song!!!!”), actually it’s a cover of The Ted Mulry Gang’s “I want to drive you home”, but the Hoff once again comes through with his usual amount of “gusto” as the record company shills put it. Watch the full video AND it’s making of below.

i’m confused! somehow his botox supported parts of his facial tombstones don’t fit to his overacting spastic body movements. And his boobies shouldn’t wear a wifebeater anymore ;) on the other hand it’s the funniest thing i’ve ever seen by david :))))

but k.i.t. looks as good as ever! :)

Did you notice that K.I.T.T is also right-hand drive in the video?! A K.I.T.T from down under! (I’ve corrected my mistake, many apologies K.I.T.T)

It is also interesting to note that Sony BMG of all people is putting this video up on the evil, filesharing and filetrading and whatnot Internet.
I also can’t believe how incredibly crappy that video is, in a technical sense, and also in any other sense.
If this is the start of the viral marketing campaign for the new Knight Rider Movie, then god help us all!

This has got to be a joke - an April´s fool from David & Friends with love…

Actually it´s a very interesting move from the record industry. All you ever hear is how hard it is to be a musician, how little cd´s sell today, and that everyone has to slave to the grind for little or no $$$ in the end. Unless you are David Hasselhof, it seems. He´s on a roll here, obviously, but I think I can hear the sound of the A & R who hired him, spiralling screaming to the ground from the label office on 26th floor. All hope is out for an A&R who does this to the public.

And in the video, even the girls seem to be dying of laughter right behind David´s back.
“Hey, Melissa - do you remember when we were in that David Hasselhof-video in 2006? - That was SO 1992! And when he grabbed your ass and you slapped him, and then his lips got stuck in his eyebrow because of the expired Botox injection he got in 2001?
