Well. what if i dont want to install any additional software to use desktoptwo.com ?

A webtop solution which can be found at www.oos.cc relies completely on javascript. Additionally the guys of the iCUBE team are working on an API (reBOX) which allows other users to develop applications by using simple javascript.

They also support personalized themes, skins, etc. Currently a filemanager, text editor, image viewer and control panel is supported.

Agreed, it's looking nice, but, something just doesn't feel right with having a web desktop. Can't a web OS do a better UI rather than trying to mimic a desktop?

Very cool. I signed up recently (saw it on CNET) and really, really like it. Probably built by a bunch of guys in a garage and already better than anything I've seen from Google or the others.
