Buy the Rednex on eBay, would Cotton Eye Joe approve?

Rednex

So you just can’t get enough of Swedish country-techno ‘artists’ REDNEX and have a few million dollars to blow? Then your prayers have been answered! Rednex AB, the holding company which owns all of the trademarks, recordings, contracts and rights to the Swedish techno legends is on the chopping block over at eBay, with a starting bid of $1,500,000 US. Small change my friends, small change. The company is debt-free and carries an average $4,000 – $5,000 a year in administrative costs. Naturally all royalties on previous recordings also have to be maintained. Currently the company is run by original lead singer Mary Joe (Annika Ljungberg) with power of attorney running until 2008.

In case you have a few million and are seriously considering this, watch the video for “Cotten Eye Joe” after the jump, you’ll change your mind…

X-ray of duck who ‘swallowed alien’ sold for $9600 on eBay

X-ray of the "ET" ducks belly

How on Earth could I have missed this!? Back in June a wounded duck died in the care of the International Bird Rescue Research Center in Cordelia, California. Upon performing an X-ray of the wounded fowl, an uncanny image of an alien’s face appeared within the birds stomach, as if it had swallowed the little space traveler before he could make contact with the people of Earth! Naturally, what else could one do but place the original X-ray film on eBay! That’s exactly what the Bird Rescue Center did, with all proceeds from the sale going to fund their continuing efforts to rescue and rehabilitate wounded waterfowl and aquatic birds. The X-ray was purchased by online casino and purchasers of all things pertaining to wacky pop culture, GoldenPalace.com for $9600.

Moller M400X Skycar prototype up for sale on eBay

Moller M400X Skycar

Why we’re all not in flying cars yet, I’ll never know, but, I know one thing, if you’re filthy stinking rich you can be. The Moller M400X Skycar prototype, which has demonstrated it’s hovering abilities many times at the Moller facilities is now up for auction via eBay. The Skycar is of course a prototype and can’t really ‘fly’ yet, but, hey, if you’re rich enough to buy it, you should be rich enough to continue developing this amazing piece of aviation history. Current bidding is around the $2 million mark with estimates at $4 million for a final sale and yes, you do have to complete a background check as this thing is most certainly considered a weapon.

Watch video of the M400X hovering after the jump..

Well, fancy my finding out that eBay book store, Murder-a-day, has revealed that they’ve come across a very large collection (50 boxes!) of good-condition vintage science fiction novels, and will be posting many vintage sci-fi novels at extremely bargain prices. I’m already eye-ing some vintage Asimov for around 2 bucks!
